RIFLE ASSOCIATIONS
The seventh annual the Wa'rarapa Bifle Association was commenced at the range kindly lepfc for the occasion by Mr IJugh Williams, of Land3down, on St ut Patrick's Day, and was continued yesterday. Over thirty competitors from all parts of the district took part, Lieuts. Hooper and Thmptsoutq being in charge on Wednesday respectively. The weather by any own? The President's medal and Mr P. Dickson's special prize of two guineas was also won by Sergeant Matthews. Mr E Rutherford (civilian), of carried off the aggregate prize, winning about £S. Volunteer second for the Belt with a good score, whilst Volunteer H. Hoffiens, a B class man, succeeded in getting third place.
