Weights declared on SATURDAY, 7th of March, at 9 p.m. Acceptances for all .Handicaps, with the exception of the Forced Handicap, and Entries for the Maiden and Selling Races, close with the Secretary at the dnb Hotel on SATURDAY, the 14th day of March, at 9 p.m., or on arrival of train from Wellington, RULES AND REGULATIONS All races at this Meeting are confined to Hacks only. "Hacks" shall mean any horse that has not started Jtov other than Hack Races during the present Racing Seaßon All Races to be run under the rules of racing-. In case of a protest, the same must be lodged with the Secretary within fifteen minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found frivolous or vexatious. No scratching of horses allowed, unleas through the Secretary, and thirty minutes before the time of starting. No entry will be received for any Race except under the conditions that all claims, disputes and objections arising, shall be decided by the Stewards pr whom they may appoint, and their deoision npon all points shall be final.* All Nominations, Entries, Acceptances, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, must be addressed to the Secretary, Masterton. • No entry will be received after the hour named on any pretenoe whatever. Any Jockey riding, except in colours, will be fined 2 sovs, The amount for second horse will be deducted from the advertised amount of stakes. Five per cent, will be deduoted from all stakes.
