EKETAHUNA.

(Prom Our Qwji Correspondent.) The weather has been very fine this last week, and advantage is being taken of it to fire the bush which has been felled, Eketabuna is looking lively just now. The town on the arrival of the midday train, is full UP of co ches. Yesterday I noticed no less than five at the station. I suppose this is a case of opposition. Fares afe down now to 2/6 to Woodville.

The Salvation Minstrels conducted service in the Town Hall last night to a very large audience, which seemed to thoroughly appreciate the entertainment. The singing was very much of the Jubilee style. The StaffCaptain made a decided hit. In his short address he stated that they had converted the Pahiatua Brewery, apd the latest addition to the ranks was tbe Brewer himself.
