Handicap (open; of 100 sovs, second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stakes: the winner of any handicap of 100 sovs, or over, after the declaration of weights, to carry a penalty of 71bs ; distance lj mile. Nora. 1 sov, accept. 3 sov. Ladies Purse Hack Handicap, of 25 sovs, second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes; horses to bo nominated by ladies. Minimum weiuht 9st; distance l| mile ; nom. 10s, accept. 10s. Selling Race, (open) of 30 soys. The winner to be sold with all engage raents immediately alter the race for 30 Bovs. Top weight 9st. No sexual allowance. 71bs allowed for every £5 off selling price, the surplus if any to be equally divided between the seoond horse and the funds of the Club. Distance 1 mile. Entrance 30s. NOTE, —"Owners mmt state at time of entry, the price their horse is to be sold fur, or they will be allotted top weight." Saturday, 4th April: Weights Declared. Saturday, 11th April: Acceptance for all Handicaps. RULES & GENERAL CONDITIONS. The Metropolitan Rules of New Zealand will be strictly adhered to. Colors, Pedigree, and performances must accompany entries in all cases. Five per cent deducted from grosß amount of all stakes. Hack" shall mean a horse that has never won a race of over 40 bovs, and that is not engaged in any Derby, Guineas, Oaks, or St. Leper at ime of nomination.
