Flying Handicap, of 40 sovs, second horse 10 sovs, -J mile ; nom 20s accept 203 ; the winner uf St Patrick's Handicap to carry 7lbs penalty. 7. Selling Race, of 25 sovs, 7 furlongs; the winner to be for 10 sovs, the surplus to be divided between tho Club and the second horse ; weight for age ; entrance 255. 8. Forced Handicap, of 20 sovs, second horse 5 sovs, 1 mile; entrance — | winners of all races during the day 10s each, non-winners free. NOMINATION, WEIGHTS AND I ACCEPTANCES. Nominations for all Handicaps, with the exception of the Forced Handicap, will close with the Secretary at the Club Hotel, on THURSDAY, sth March, at 9 p.m., or on the arrivall of the late train from Wellington. Weights declared on SATURDAY, 7th of March, at 9 p.m. Acceptances for all Handicaps, with tho exception of the Forced Handicap, and Entries for the Maiden and Selling Races, close with the Secretary at the Club Hotel on SATURDAY, the 14th day of March, at 9 p.m., or on arrival of train from Wellington, RULES AND UEGULATIONS. All races at this Meeting are confined to Hacks only. "Hacks" shall mean any horse that has not Btartedjf or other than Hack Races during the present Racing Season All Races to be run under the rules of racinp. In case of a protest, the same must be lodged with the Secretary within fifteen minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found frivolous or vexatious. No scratching of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and thirty minutes before the time of starting. No entry will be received for any Race except under tho conditions that all claims, disputes and objections arising, shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All Nominations, Entriea,Acceptances, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, iriustbe addressed to tho Secretary, Maaterton. No entry will be received after the hour named on any pretence whatever. Any Jockey riding, except in colours, will be fined 2 sovs, The amount for second horae will be deducted from the advertised amount of stakes. Five per cent, will be deducted from all stakes.
