COMMERCIAL.
Mr F. H. Wood reports of the stook style held by him at his Taratahi yards on Thursday, as follows : —Considerably more sheep were yarde'l than those advertised, all selling readily under the hammer. The attendance of buyers was large and bidding spirited throughout; the demand evidently exceeding the supply. The following is a quotation of prices realised : Sheep—Ewes and wethers, forward. 9s 7d to lis lQd; fat ewes, lQs 6d to lis; good store ewes, 8s t'o 9s; culls, 5s 5d to 7s 6d; Merino ewes, 6s 8d ; lambs in the wool, 8s 8d ; shorn do, 7s to 7s (jd; ewes and wethers Titled, forward, 10s 8d to 10s 6d ; Lincoln, rams, to 4 guineas, Rqmney Marsh do, aged, 12s to 21s, Cattle— Calves and yearlings, 10s 6d, cows, 593 to 67s 6d,
