The monthly meeting of the Masterton Road Board was held in the County offices this morning. Pre3ent —Messrs W. H. Beetham (Chairman), Dagg, McLeod.and McKenzie. The minutes of the pregfl|/meeting ware read and confirmedT* Cokrespondence. From Colonial Secretary, stating that . the. result ?f.the< poll for the Opald loan had been gazetted. ' From Messrs.. Cavanagh and McKenzie, asking " for compensation for loss sustained on their contraot at Fernihurst, owing to their having to encounter a~: hidden -rock.—Referred to the Engineer for report at neit, meeting. ' ■? From Mr 0. E. Darnells and Mr CumitiinV askirig ;foi extSiHto-of time for the completion c ontracta.—Request granted. 1; From Colonial Treasurer, stating, that the proposal for a loan of £4OO for the Upper Fernridge road had; been approved of. —Received, and Clerk instructed to take the necessary steps to raise the loan. From Messrs' W. Buiok, T. ' Minogue and two other residents 6ti<tho Northcroft road line, requesting that the accrued thirds froto their properties be expended on . a'road leiding to Mr Stuckey's property."
