CRICKET MEETING.

A special general meeting of the «• Greytown Cricket Club" wa3 held in the Council Chambers, Greyto wff, last night. The foliowing mem bers were present:—-His Worship the Mayor, (Air B. A Wakelin), v,cepresident, m the chair, and Messrs Webster, A and E "Udy, D J Dun, Brunton,' W A Tate, J Tudd, CJ ) Beard, Robert Judd, W Morris, and L St. George junr. The advertisement convening the meeting was read and during the evening the chairman ruled that che meeting was a legal one, and that the members present Pwere property members of the club, Mr Webster proposed, That the Honorary Secretary, the Honorary Treasurer, and committees of the Greytown Cricket Club be asked to resign and to send all properties and books of the Club to the vicepresident, his Worship the Mayor [Mr B A Wakelin.] This was seconded by Mr W A Tate and carried unanimously. The chairman and Messrs Beard and Brunton spoke to the motion. It was also proposed by Mr Webster and seconded by Mr Brunton, that Mr W-A Tate, a ; member of the Committee be requeued to demand from the Secretarphie minute book, so tba* tfre minute 3 of this meeting may be recorded" Gamed unanimously. Mr Webster then moved the following resolution, " That this meeting adjourn until this day fortnight to receive the answer to the request of this meeting from the executive officers of this Club." Seconded by Mr W. A. Tate and carried unanimonsly. After avote of thanks to the chairman the meeting adjourned.
