ROAD BOARD

The Alfredton Road Board met on Tuesday, Fabruary lQth. £re§W,Messrs Eebbel (chairman),' George, Benton, and E. Smith.

John McLaren's tender for painting office, at £B. was accepted. Correspondence was read from Mr 8. Turkington, re clearing Rotorango Road line, stating he could not get timber, and asking assistance in making a road. It was resolyed that there were no funds for the worfc. Mr Thos Saunders, re felling scrub on Saunder's Road. Resolved to inform Mr Saunders how the matter stood, and ask him to extend the work.

Mr Win. Murdock, asking his name to be taken off the roll, arid tha£ of Johnson Bros substituted. Request complied with. Messrs Judd Bros, Barraud, and others asking that their properties be merged jiito the Mauriceville Road district.
