(From Our Own Correspondent-)
The votaries of St Valentine would appear to be scarce in our practical township, no increase of business at the Post Office being noticeable. The erection of the wire cage at the Mangatainoka River on the Mangahao road will be completed in aboui three weeks time. The benefit of it will be largely felt by all classes of the community. Mr T Dawson is the contractor.
Messrs Lowes and Inrns held a sale of stock here at Biigg's auction yards on Saturday. Despito the miserable weather the attendance was large.
