J An ordinary mooting of the Upper ; Taueru Road Board was held on Sat* \ urday, February'tftb, 2891. Present s t Mr 0. E. Ooikburn Hood (chairman), , and Messrs Mncßao, Miller, P%y/» i and Rutherford. The minutes of the previous meet* ing were read and confirmed. 'CORRESPONDENCE. From Messrs Hammond & Banner 1 forwarding stamps for rates, Mr F. G. Moore re alteration of ownership i of properties. Maaterton Bold Board re Mr Lyne'a property, Btating that ' the Board are prepared to receive thorates payable by Mr Lyne, and will expend them as far as possiblo for hisbenefit. Mr John Kelly requesting; that his name bo put on their roll» Secretary to the Treasury requesting; payment of £9O 15s 4d, beiug interest for half year on £B3O 11b lid, under tho " Government Loanß to Local Bodies Act, 1886." •fir W. Y. Warner enclosing cbequ ffor rates to Blst March, 1890, on of Mr W. Ward. Mr James Miller ro work of the roadman. Mr A. E. Pereton asking for the work to be done for him as promised some time ago. Mr Q. McKay re felling scrub on the road line. Application from Mr Wingato through the Chairman to have his track attended to ns promised. Mr McGovern attended tho meeting re tho scrub felling on tho Munperai road line. % <W Resolved. That the Clerk acknowledge tho receipt of Mr McKay's lottor. That Mr John Kelly's name be put on the roll as requested. That the work for Mr Perston and Mr Wins;ate shall be done at once. After some discussion it was decided that tho. blue olay cutting on tho Glendonam Wairere road should be metalled as there is great danger of the road giving way in this place. That tho scrub be felled on the Mungcrai road in the spring. Accounts amounting to £35 5s del were passed for payment. The next meeting of the Board! was fixed tor the first Saturday March.
