CARTERTON—TUESDAY. (Before Colonel Roberts, R.M.) Fred Travers, for being drunk, was, discharged with a caution. Henry Anderson, on a similar charge, was dealt with in a like manner. Adam Armstrong v Mutual Assurance Association of Victoria, Mr Acheson for plaintiff. Adjourned till the 24th February inst. M. A. Mackenzie v Mundv and Smith. Claim, L 5 5s 4d. Mr Beard for plaintiff. Mr Mundy appeared for himself, and disputed his shaie of the claim, as only one of the defendant's had been summoned. Thp case was adjournecj, Taratahi-Carterton Road Board v H. P. Tinuiorangi. Claim for rates, £7 17s. Mr Beard for plaintiffs, Mr Tate for defendant. Judgment for L 5, with costs 10s, and solicitor's fee 21s. Geo Osborne v M. Nicholson* Judgment summons. Mr Acheson for judgment creditor, Mr Middleton for debtor. After undergoing an examination by the counsel for the plaintift, the debtor stated that he had earned about L2O this season by shearing, but he had not made any money by gambling since the date of judgment. He had been working at home, and had notieceived wages. He worked off a debt of L2 with Mr Davison. My Mr Middleton : Since the date qf judgment he ljad not earned sufficient to satisfy the judgment. C. H. Giles deposed that ho could not state how much he received from the debtor unless he referred to his books.
The case was adjourned ti}l next sitting.
