Invercaeoill, Wednesday,

A terrific hailstorm was experienced at Riverton yesterday, preceded by a tremendous thunderstorm, lasting till after a shower of ice (.tones. Some of these were as large as hens' eggs. The fall lasted ten minutes. Not a single skylight or conservatory escaped, nearly every pane of glass being completely riddled. Fruit and vegetables suffered severely. A school boy named Miller was blinded for a time by \he lightning and sent home. There was an electrical disturbance In other parts of the district, but not severe, and the hailstorm was confined to Riverton.
