. ;Mr F H Wood had full yards and . a large attendance of buyers at his Taratahi Stock Sale yesterday. Competition for sheep was brisk, all lots selling at prices slightly in advance of last sale. The demand for cattle was limited, and except for steers, bidding was flat, several lots being passed in. Prices are quoted as under : Sheep Forwjfd wethers, a pen of 520, 4 tooth, realized 10s 4d ; fat ewes, 9s ; store ewes, 5s 3d to 7s 7d ; do culls, 4s 9d; culled merino ewes, 3s 3d; lambs in the wools 6s 7d ; do shorn, 5s Id. .Cattle Calves os to 16s ; heiferjfeighteen months to two years, 23s to 35s ; steers, do, 40s to 52s ; steers and heifers mixed, 36s to 40s ; dairy cows, 50s to 70s; store cows, aged, 20s to 30s. Figs—Small store, lis 6d; weaners, ss. Horses— Light hacks, aged, 40s to 100s.
