LAND BOARD.
The adjourned meeting of the Land Board was held yesterday afternoon at the Board's offices, Provincial Buildings, those present being—The Commissioner, Mr J. W. H. Merchant ' (in the chair), and Messrs W. W. McCardle and W. A. Fitzherbert. The Board considered a number of ' applications for revaluation of capital value of sections, and in the cases of three holders of transferred sections it was decided on the motion of Mr McOavdle, seconded by Mr Fitzherbert," that these selectors were entitled to nave their ! selections revalued, aud that they be informed of the price agreed, upon by tbfe > Board. , *'
On the motion of Mr Fitzberbert, seconded by Mr McCardle, it was resolved that tho Commissioner : of Crown Lands be directed to ascertain the legal position of the Board in regard to four other and that the Board hold an enquiry at Masterton at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 18th January, and at other convenient places, if necessary, upon dates to be fixed ; also that the Bangor revalue several selections not recently visited, and attend at Masterton on the 18th inst. Notice of this inten» tion to be given to all parties concerned. The Board adjourned till lltb. Fabruary.
