Englishmen at large usually speak but once at a time, He says he has not apologised ; what then was the object of his letter ? My i-olicy, he days, has been to get the Committee into debt. plan, would he apply to the Board because the Committee is in funds, I need not point out for Mr Daniells 1 edißcation that, because the Board pays certain liabilities inourred by the Masterton School Committee, if follows that they must do the same to any other Committee. If the Board will not pay the debts of the Committee, why should the Town Lands Trust be expected to do so. As regards the Trust, the members do not insist on directing bow the money is to be expended, but tbey require the Committee to submit their proposals bufuro voting furthor grants.—l am, etc., H. E.
