Typhoid in the CampNapieb, Monday. afternoon Gardiner, of D BaxPry, Dunedin, was taken to the Napier Hospital, suffering from typhoid fever, and Dr lnne3, who saw him, ordered his removal there. He was ailing when he left Dunedin, and at Christchnrch his friends advised him to remain behind, but he did not think there was much wrong with bitn, and decided to continue the joarney. The Macquarrie IslandsW - Dunedin, Monday. If the Kakanui does not return to-morrow, the Government will despatch the Hinemon to the Macquarries. "Wellington. ItemsWellington, Monday. The baker's store of John Anderson, " of Taranaki-street, was burnt down this morning. The police are not satisfied with the circumstances of the fire. The classification of post and telegraph offices under the new Act •will be gazetted this week.
