Death of a Shepherd. Suspicions of Foul Play- 1 Napier, Thursday. News reached town yesterday of the death of Rhoderick Matheson, head shepherd on the Rakamoana station. The appearance of the body and circumstances pointed to the cause as being thrown from a horse dnd kicked on the head. Information received last night, however, showed suspicions of foul play. The injuries on the head had been inflicted by a sharp instrument. A station lland named Charles I'hadwick has disappeared. A search made for him was fruitless, and it is supposed he is hidden ra the bush, Rakamoana is forty miles from Napier on the Taupo road.
