Lawn Tennis Tournament.
A lawn tennis tournament took place on Saturday last on the Masterton ground, between teams representing the Carterton and Masterton Clubs, resulting in a somewhat easy victory for the home team, who won nine matches out of the eleven contested. The excellent tennis displayed by the lady players on both sides was much admired. Appended are the soores : Men's Singles.—W. G. Beard beat P. Rutherfurd, 6 3, 6 4; Coleman beat E.
