[By Telegraph] (United Press Association). THe Mail ServiceWellington, Saturday. The Government received advices from the agent at 'Frisco, and the United States Postal Department, pointing to the probable passage of the Tonnage Bill, devoting a subsidy of £60,000 per annum to a fortnightly mail service to New Zealand, or £BB,OOO for a monthly service. The President's addross dwelt strongly on the necessity cf Congress stirriDg in tho matter.
