PRODUCE REPORT.

The following is Messrs Scales & Co's New Zealand produce report, dated London . Nov. 29,1890. Better;— Owing to an early arrival of winter weather, our market, which lias been extremely dull for the past month has become animated, supplies

are short with a keen demand. Prices of all sorts of butter hive risen ' considerably. A few parcels of fine L Australian just arrived have realized values, and early shipments of WKKJKf Zealand, if quality is satisfactory sure to give satisfactory results. We quote :—Normandy 100s to 1245, Dutch, 96s to 110s. Irish, 90s to 124«, Australian, 112s to 116s, New Zealand, only a few parcels have arrived, not enough to test the market.

Cheese,— Market is dull, and values if anything, rather lower, supplies being greater than demand. American and Canadian, (new), 50s to 525, American and Canadian (old), 30s to 445, New Zealand, 30s to 48s. Hemp,—Since our last has fluctuated considerably, showing an advance early in the month of £5 to £6 per ton, declining later quite £4. At this week's sales some recovering took place, bat market is very uncertain, _We* quote :—Wellington, good, medium, £l9 to 221, Auckflf, fair, £22 10s to £24 108, Manilla, (rising) £44, to arrive.
