It is stated that the Cabinet are re considering their determination to meet Parliament as they are, and some changes in the personnel of th.B Ministry may be made before the session qoanS: It is also stated that dir W, iitzherbert will resign the Speakership of the Legislative Council, but the Government have had no intimation of his intontiqn, the Educational InstituteAuckland, Thursday. The New Zealand Educational Institute met this morning. A resolution protesting against the action of certain Boards of Education in interfering with the liberty of teachers in political affairs was discussed briefly and defeated by twenty against eight, It was agreed to recommend the establishment of a Court of Appeal for teachers, to consist of the Minister of Education Inspector-General, and one teacher ; also that agriculture be made an alternative subject in examinations
