COMMERCIAL.
Mr F. H. Wood hejd a Stock Sulo at tbe Taratahi yards yesterday, A much larger number of sheep came forward than had been advertised, but very few cattle were yarded. The attendance of buyers was good, but prices realised were hardly up to the last sale rates, being as under : Sheep—Ewes and wethers, mixed, several pens were disposed of, at prices ranging from 7s to 8s 2d ; fat ewes 7s 3d to 7s 6d; store ewes 5s Id to 6s 9d, There was considerable enquiry tor-wethers, but none were yarded, exeppt in mixed pens. Cattle—Steers and heifers, 18 months, 81s ; dairy cows, 655.
