Important Decision[By Teleo-haimi,]

Gkeytown, Tuesday.
A most important case, which has been before the Wative Lands Court for nearly three months, and which affects a block of land stretching from behind Carterton right up to Martinborough, including the table lands, was settled by Jffdge Mackay's deci sion yesterday. The judgment is said to have occupied fourand a half hours in delivery, and to have covered something like IGO sheets of foolscap paper. Summarised and abridged it may be said to refer to tbe Ngawakaakupe and Pahaoa blocks, containing approximately 60,000 and 7982 acres respectively. The decision was in favor of tho Ngutaihikauera Hapu fqr the first block;, and as regards the latter HiHawca Mahnpuku and others wero allotted 1000 acres, aud Riliarulu and others 6952 aores. The claims of Te Wbatakorari, Ngatucre, Tawhirimatea and Etuera Turei to the large block were dismissed.
