This seemed so inconsistent wituwlntMrßeetlram has staled duringthe present election that we sent liim a wire, asking him if the report were true. Mr Beetham in reply telegraphs: "Thanks for telegram ;.wholly..lake; I made at Mauriceville exactly same remarks as at' Jlastertori." Comment, perhaps is quite unnecessary, but there should be even m elections such a thing, as fair play.
