TOWN LANDS TRUST.

Tho ordinary monthly meeting of the Masterton Town Lands Trustees was held in the Counoii Chambers last evening. Present—Messrs Loves I (in the chair), Graham, Eton, Renall, MoEwen, andß, P, Perry,. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The chairman stated that he had visited the property of Mr Pybus: which was in dispute, and he had no doubt a satisfactory arrangement would be arrived at. The Treasurer reported a balance in hand of £O7 6s lOd. CORRESPONDENCE, From the Rev W E Paige, chairman of the School of Design, stating that the first quarter's proportion of the L 25 grant was now due. On the motion of Mr MoEwen the amount was passed for payment ! when funds permit. From R, G. Williams, stating that osrtain repairs were necessary to the house of the Trust which was in his occupation.—The seoretary was instructed to arrange for the carrying out of the necessary repairs, APPLICATION FOR GUAM. The chairman said the committee appointed at the last meeting had visited the various sohools to satisfy themselves as to the expenditure necessary. With reference to the application of the Masterton school for L 65, he fought the Board should undertake some of the work required. Mr Renall suggested that the application be forwarded to the Board with the intimation that the Trust would meet them in the matter. The Chairman said they would require to send the application through the Sohool Committee. Mr Renall: Oh, yes, it would be advisable to do that; .
