The concert held Inst evening in tho - v Tlicatte-Boyal in aid oftheSpackman ' family went off remarkably well, the " attendance being large and the pro-' ' gramme taken as awholeconsiderably above Ihe average, After the overturehad been given by. tlio string band under the leadership of- Herr vod 1 Keisenburg, Mr A W Hogg announced - that he had been requested to tako . chorgeof tho programme and introduce , the performers.- , This duty Mr Hogg' faithfully carried out % his' usual genial stylo, keeping the audienco in excellent good humour,' Tlio following is the piogrammeassubmitted: , F G Moore, song, '<lhe Fogbell," Miss E Hausniann,: sona "Alnid of the ■ Mill," W Bray, song "We-all love Jack," H fices, cornet solo, "Killarnoy," (encored), B R C Coleman, song, "Little Jack." This song was- received: with storms o* '' The Thistle, Rose,-ami Shamrock." T Miss Jessie Hogg (announced by the Chairman as " a home. product, - a )oung New Ztalander") gave a piano solo, ; rendered with a grace and execution highly oreditable . to so young ,a lady.. Miss -A . Watson, song.vßcbtohj-iMaster'; B.: ' Ewington, song, Our hap py try s place, 11 v This young gcisopn }Mb..well received, and gave another song before the audience was satisfied, An overture by 'Messrs -Bees, cornet; F: - Innsss, piano-, Winchester and, Eton, violin, followed.'. Miss E Hausmann -. tlien contributed a song," Remember or Forget" in a Touching manner* B.Woolcott,solo on two tin whistles, " Musical Marvels," S Ealph, song, " ■' "Over the deep blue-sea."
