ROAD BOARD.
Tp ordinary meeting of tho Upper Tnuern Road Board was held on November 1, 1890, Present—The Chairman, Messrs McKao, Eutherfurd, and Perry. CORRDSPONDEXCE, Oouoly Enginner, forwarding plans of the road laid off by MrMcLachlan, Mr W. G, Beard re section 418 VIII, Kopuaranga. Audit Office, raquesting payment into the Public Account at the Bank of New Zealand the sum of £l, being cost of auditing tho accounts of the Board, Tho Treasury acknowledging receipt of £2O 153 4d, being interest due August 1, 1890, on loan, Messrs Cuff and Graham enclosing letter from Mr J. Johnson re-deviation of the line of road. Mr J. Wingate aßking the Board to have the bridle track up the Taueru put in repair, and that tho crossing place on the Tauaru be put in order by facining. Mr Lyne waited on the Board asking the sanction of tho Board to the transfer of his land atKopuarangn into the Masterton Boad Beard .J&'rict. . T Resolved—That the repairs to Mr Wingato'a track bo attended to at once by the roadman and that Mr Wingate be granted the sum of 80s forimuling the facines and putting in fwr the crossing place; That the roadman shall fall the scrub on tho Mungarei Koad as requested by .Mr McGovernat the previous meoting ot the Board as Boon as the work now in hand willipermit; That tho Board aro unable to entertain the roadman's application ro building house; That MrJohnson be instructed not to interfere with the public traffio by running his fence across tho ro id. Accounts amounting to L9lO sld vera passed for payment. That the next meeting of tho Board beheld on the first Saturday in December,
