House of Assembly, Mr Dihbs deolared that he had arranged with Sir Henry Parkes, the Premier, for an adjournment of the debate, and he acoused the Government of contemptible, scoundrelly, and perfidious conduct. He also mentioned that on the strength of the Premier's promise several members of the Opposition had left the House beloro the division took place.
