Wairarapa and East Coast Pastoral Society.
(From Oqr Carterton Correspondent) _ The entries received for the coming show at Carterton were scheduled yesterday by Mr E.W. Dorset, the Seoretary, and, as I telegraphed you, they present a very good result. The grand totalis 707, an increase of 191 over th,e entries of last year, which were 516. -Tho following comparative table shows the details of the inoroaso, which it may be noted is an all-round one, but applies more particularly to horses, implements, and produce. I may mention, that the exhibition of vehicles this year is likely to surpass all former expositions, from what I can hear, Que. South Wairarapa especially is sending a vory handsome oolleotion. In implement's and machinery several important South Island firms will. contribute largely to the display. They have not exhibited here previously, Takon all round this present'Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Show may he expected to bo one of tho largest things q( its, kind ever" hold in tho Ifor-th Island, that is where the exhibits are of a purely pastoral and agricultural nature.
