• ■ (United Press Association,) ■ \ Aooidonts and Fatalities. i. . Auckland, October 14. A man named James Ehvorth was drowned in the harbor to-day by falling from a barge. He was a jingle man, 28 years of age, and bis mother is in Auckland. , Invercauoill, October li. Alfred Buxton, a lad of .10, a son of Thomas liuxton, brickmaker, was shockinglyinjured among themachincry of his father's works to-day. He was applying tar to a belt to make it grip, when be got caught by his leg in it and thrown upon a pair of mitred wheels, which completely chewed up his left arm and inflioted shocking-injuries on the thigh'and abdomen, The arm was amputated at the hospital.' Tho lad has never lost consciousness, but his case is critical.
She Muvder Case- , ' Nkw Plymouth, October 14. The murder trial was continued to-day, J, Gilmour identified the trousers and vest produced as being, the same he had given to Maloney. These were part of the clothes found iu the bundle in tho Recreation grounds, alongside the prisoner's slippers. J. Poote identified a White shiit which he bad sold to Maloney, also found in the bundle. E. Kelly, bootmaker, identified the boots sent to him to be repaired for Maloney. Other-witnesses wero called to identify the boots found on the prisoner, belonging to Maloney. The Court adjourned till to-morrow, when the case for the defence begins,
