He is beyond doubt the best bred colt standing in New Zealand; poseessing moro bone and hair than any horse of his ago in tlio North or South Islands, and admitted at last show by competent judges to be tlio class of horse which has long been wanted to improvo the draught stock of this district. No Snrrcudcr is out of that great brood maro Farmers' Lass (tlio dam of Springbank, that was a champion horse at Oamaru when only two yoars old, King of the Ring, and the most promising of colts the Farmers' Lad). Very shortly after she was purchased by Messrs Fleming and Hcdlcy and taken to New Zealand. Tho sire of No Surrender is tho renowned King of the 1 Vanquishers) who took fir«t prize at Christchurch last year, beating Boag's great General ' Gordon and Is now about fourteen years old. The King was bred by Messrs Fleming and Hedley, out of their famous brood mare Miss M'Cormick, imported from Melbourne.
