The special constables pni'Qlled to-day have beon dismissed, with instructions (o hold themselves in readiness for next month. They did no duty, Correspondence published shows that the miners went to work on the understanding that any coal they mined was not to bo given to the Union Company either directly ori indirectly. The agreement was observed until Saturday night, when tl)e mjno manager informed them that tho Union' P'oinpany' 'jjapt demanded the Grey Valley Goal f)oh> pany should fulfil tlieir'qontraot by giving the Union Company the carriage of their coal, so as to enable their contracts to be completed with the miners. The said information regarding .the Union- Company's letter" was jfnojyn at the mines at ten in tho mornirjg',''buF Mp Bjsljop only tojd jjjein |t ten at night, thereby stealing a niareli on them ju order to get a few more tone of coal
