Sheep Shearing Machine.
An attempt was recently madd (says Industries) to introduce from England into Germany sheep shear* ing machines working by hand or steam power, A trial shearing .was concluded ty an English shearer, with a Wolseley shearing With twenty-four shears, at the Co* gresa of Pomeranian wool growers in Stargard, but it was a failure. The maohinein question could be worked by a traction engine or by a Bteam engine. After an operation lasting uninterruptedly for an hour and a half.ithe lamb experimented upon emerged from the hands of tha shearer in rather a dawaged condition, After this result there does not appear to be much prospect of' ' the maohine being introduced into Germany. ~
