[By Telegraph], ' (United Press Association.) , Fanners' Association at Talmerston Horth-.j, ■ Pahierston NoreS,"Monday, Abeut ' 150 farmers attended a meeting to consider the advisability of forming a farmer's co-operative association on the same lines as tbe one Christohurch. An unsuccessful attempt was made to .alter the affair to a farmer's union, but a resolution was almost unanimously carried in favor of a cp-operativo association, and a committee was appointed to carry out the object.
