A meeting of the Works Committee of the Mastertqn Borough Council wts held last evening, there being present His Worship the Mayor and Councilors Capper.. Hessey nnd M'Ewen. The Overseer reported that ' rats iii the Railway road had filled in, Ho had inspected the several places for aupply-. pf water' to the fire engines.' A doable floodgate was needed in Albert-street, A culvert had been put in Bentley-; street, and in Queen-street. JRepairr had been.made in Hall-atreet, Lincoli|f road and Johnston-street. 1 ; The wages sheet for the month was signed. . / The Finanoo ■.
