The return football match between North and South Wairarapa is to be played at Carterton to-morrow, The next practice match will belayed at Maßterton. A match between the Maaterton Bills Volunteers and the 2nd Stars is to be played at an early date. A strong Volunteer team was picked last night. .

A committee meeting was hold at Carterton last night, over which Mr Henry Braithwaito presided, to. discuss the proposal to establish a Farmers' Co-operative Association in the Wairarapa. The Becretary pro torn, Mr George Fairbrother, submitted very full information , regarding the principles of all the existing New Zealand ' Co-operative Associations, ranging from that of Taranaki with a' paid-up capital of ;62,000 to that .of Canter*bury with about £7,0,000 paid-up. 'After careful considerationhad been given and tho views of'those present last night had been , filassified and condensed, it was resolved to draw * 'up and submit a report to a public 'touting of the whole Wairarapa wHich should be called in Carterton oil Saturday, 13th September, at 1 o'clock p.m. The report thus to bo f submitted, is to include'.the following ; ' recommendations;— 1.
