Wood reports of the stook Bale held at his Taratabi yards as follows Sheep were fairly well represented, but very few cattle wero i yarded, Bidding was not so spirited Opjit recent sales, prices showing a slightly downward tendency. Fat wethers realising less than they would otherwise havo done, owing to a report being circulated that the freezing works were closed on account of the strikes and short supply o! coal, A particularly good line of heavy weights, 49 two tooth fat. wethers, were sold for 15s Id; medium, 12s 7d; store do, 11a lOd, ewes in lamb, 7s 6d to Ba. For cattlo, dairy cows sold at prices ranging from 60s to 80?; steers, 2 years, 36s jfid.
