A meeting of members of the Mae-, terton - Pastoral and Agricultural Society was held in the Club Hotel yesterday afternoon, Mr D Donald in the chair, The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Messrs Reid and. Gray wrote, offering to supply a turnstile used at the Dunedin Ebhibition for the sum of £l4.

A letter waßread from the Manawatu and West Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Society, requesting this Bociety to apply to'the Stock Department for a copy of tho brands and earmarks register for the North Island, so that members would not be compelled to'go to Wellington to see the same, After some discussion it was decided to agree to the request. Tenders for printing prize lists were opened and the lowest accepted.
