A largely attended mtoting of merchants andeinployors oflabor was . held lasUigbt, It was resolved to «rm an association in tho interests of nployers of labor, Tho object is to. ■ provide tho recognised body to deal with representatives of labor in all matters affocting common interests. Tho project to warmly taken up by all those presont -it being felt thotimo had arrived when some action should 'betaken foramicablo adjustment of nil differences between employer and omployod. It was deoided thaLtho Association be 11011- ' political, '& to solicit the cooperation of merchants' and employers throughout tho colony. Tho esGoutivo Committee formed to carry out .the objects consists of Messrs .JJlair, JJGvin, Eoid, Scoullar, Mills and two others with power to add to their numbor.
