Oddfellow' District Mooting
The half-yearly district meeting of tlio M.U. Oddfellows, Wolhngton district, Was held on Thursday, l'lth iust. The delegates were mot at the station by tlio officers and brethernot tlio Ekotahuna .Lodge, and were taken to tlio Town flail, whero a magnificent spread , was laid for them. After full justico had been done to tlio good things provided, an adjournment was mado to the schoolliouso on business, which occupied till 7.80. Tea was thm partakon of, tlio delegates being distributed amjngst tlio various hotels. Afterthepurplolecturo, the delegates were invited to attend a ball, which proved a groat success. Tlio corresponding secretary gave «n interesting address, showing the advantages _to bo derived" from Oddfellowship generally, and also that with respect to tho Wellington district the challenge which was given by Dr MoGrsgorwas completely confuted. The Eketabuna Oddfellows gave tlio delegates a lioarty send-off at the station on tlio follow, ing morning. Mr T. S. J ago, P.G., was tbo delegato representing Masterton.
