<Mr F. H. Wood bad ut large atlftiance of buyers at his Taratnhi Stock Sale yesterday. Competition for both sheep and cattlo was fairly f;ood, but no demand apparently oi isted for horses, all of which latter wore passed in; the sheep and cattlo were, however, all disposed of undo r tho hammer. The following is a quotation of prices realised:—Sheep, —Fat wethers, light weights, l!is 61; (a line of heavy weight fat wethers, which had been advertised did not come forward, as at the last moment in view of a probable visit from the Bheep Inspector it was thought' advisable to send.them to Wellington to be frozen, rather than run tho risk of being Sued and ordered to dip «d(flN,) Fat ewes, lis Od; ewes in TaTiib, 7s to 9s 6d; hoggets, 4s lid to 8s Id, Cuttle—Calves and yearlinjjs, in low condition, 15s 6d 18 months to 2 years; old Bteers and heifere.4os to 43s 6dj forward steers, 67s Cd; dairy cows, 40s to 755; store cows, 80s
