At a tueetins; of the. Trades and Labour Council and Master Grocers' Association held iu Wellington last evening, the following resolutions were passed : (1) "That every Union affiliated to the Trades aud Labour Counci bo
requested to immediately pass a resolution insisting upon their respective members, and their families at oucodiscontiuuingpurchasinggrocerii's fruit, vegetables, and other goods from the Chinese shopkeepers in the city." (2)« That a Vigilance Committee be appointed by each Union to see that effect is given to the above resolution.". . ' (3) "That it ba a recommendation that a public meeting of tho citizens bo hold in the Exchange Hall ■■■ on Tuesday evening next for the purpose of urging upon all classes of the community tho necessity. of discontinuing the presontlarge support, accorded to the Chinese shopkeepers, a support which is causing serious loss to a large number of our fellow colonists." "That Messrs Graham, Fisher, Johnston, Mclntyre, Webb and Sexton be it Committeo to give effect to this resolution," (4) That a deputation from the Trades and Labour Council, and the Wellington Grocers' Association wait
