SIXPENNY CONCERT.
The first of a series of winter evening concerts in aid of the funds of tb.e_ Wesleyan Sunday Sohool was held in the Temperance Hall'last evening, and was a hugo success. The building was orowded to excess, and everything went off -without a hitch, The selections of the string band, composed ol the' Misses Corbett and Messrs Eeese, Candy, and Papworth, wero muok appreciated, and, indeed, every item on the 1 programme met with applause. Mr UaskiU was vooilerously .enoored for his rendition of" Tho Silent Maroh," Messrs Reese, Ealpb, Candy, anil Parker being also, re-oalled. The chair was occupied by the Rev W. Kowse. The following is the programe submitted:—Overture, siring band; song,. Mr G Parker; song, Mrs Mueller; pianoforte duett, Misses i Jessie Corbett and Williams; song,| "The Silent Maroh," Mr Gaskiil; song, "Snob is Life," Miss Polling; whistle duett," sand," Messrs F. and! G. Parker; Bong, Mr H Kees; song, Master L Parker; selection, Mr Candy; song, Mr S Mplij vooal duett, Mrs Mueller and Miss Williams; violiu solo, Mr Cindy; Song, Mr Gaskiil; Song, banjo accompaniment, Mr 6. Parkor. Miss J. Corbett played the accompaniments in her usual clever style.
