Mr F. H. Wood's stock sale at the Taratahi yards held yesterday was largely attended.. About 1,600 sheep, all of good quality, were yarded, but only a few cattle, Bidding was spirited throughout. Sheep still showing D-n upward tendency. The following is. a quotation of prices realised. Sheep-Wethers, forward, 11a to 12s 4d; ewes, empty, in forward condition, 8s to 9s lOd; ewes in lamb, 7s 4d to. lis 8d; fat ewes, 103 to 12s; ewes and wethers mixed, 12s. -Cattle—Steers,. 18 months to 2 years old, 49s to 70s; ooivs, 'store, 80s to 455,
