The usual monthly meeting wad held on Juno 24th. PresentMessrs Kehbel (ohaimian) H. Benton, Eli Smith, and S. M. George. The • minutes of the previous meeting were read and coufirmed, Inward correspondence-From Geo. Fannin re Crown Lands sold sinoe June 1889; from Bank of New Zealand, acknowledging Board's oheque for L 8 88 7d, transfer from 3.L. to LB. Act to general account; from Eketa- Jr huna Road Board, re. forming new County comprising Eketahuna, H Alfredton, and Mauriceville, and ' ' requesting Board to send delegates to a meeting to be held on June 7th. It was resolved that the Board cannot entertain the proposal); from Mr Beaufort, re placing of Ihuraua Valley Road under Public Works Act; froin J.B. Whyte, Agent for Dr* Bimie, Cbristohmoh, re felling,bush on Pah Valley Road Line;: from 8. McGee, re same matter. Resolved, that: Messrs White and McQee be ' informed: that the Board will do the work with the consent of the Land. • Board so far as things go, and that ■ they could fell the bush and the. balande woujd be paid when thirds were j acoruedj from Treasury, agreeing to loan "of £SO for Pair Valley Road South on condition all steps are' taken.; from Charles' Brown, enolosmg schedule of Crown Lands sold sinoe last June, and enclosing lithograph up to date and charging 1% lGs 7d; resolved, : that Charles Brown be paid L2lss 7d and be put on payment sheet'; from C A Pownall; objecting .to Board deciding to take road through Mr 1 Henry Burling's junior, landjresolved that Mr W Shirley be paid U for work'dono on the'bush traoks and Ihuraua Valley Rdad,' ■■ \ ■ . Messrs Eli Smith and Benton were appointed to sign rate. It was resolved "that the Clerk be '•. appointed Presiding'and Returning Officer for proposed L'6o loan.'
