MASTERTON ROAD BOARD. IT is intended, nt a meeting of the Board, to beheld on SATURDAY, tho 28th current, to strike tho following general and special rates : 1. A general rate of Mltlis of one penny in tho pound on the rateable value ofall the property within tho diatnet, for tho year commencing on tho Ist day of April, 1890, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1891, payable in one sum at the office of rtho Board on tho 20th day of July, 1891). 2, A special rate of ono penny and 21-40ths of one penny in the £ on tho rateable value of the

following sections, 1,13, and 14, Knuporangi Survoy District, to meet interest and annual cliargoa on tho sum of £260, granted to tho Board under " The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886," for tho formation of s road from Te Ore Ore and Bangitumau road, and what is known. as Stacker's road, to Such special rate shall bean annually recurring rate, and shall be payable in two half yearly instalments, fur twentysix years, the first half-yearly payment to be mado on the Ist day of December, 1890, and the second on tho first of June, 1891, and on thesamo days in each year following until the debt is liquidated. - The Rate Books are open for inspection at the office of the Board.
