(To the Editor,) SIR,— There lias boon considerable enquiry in thin and surrounding districts about theso boots with wooden sules (which a Christohurch firm advertise everv winter in the columns ol yo* papers), they are spoken of as being far auporior to leather soled boots for winter wear, being lighter, warmer, cheupor, and lost longer tban any other kind of boots for the wet and cold weather. If all I have heard about them is true thoy must bo just the tiling for porsunß suffering from cold and damp feet. Thoy are also said to be a' sure euro for chilblains, which .of itself is worth knowing.
