Hitherto they have worked nine hours, and they now desire to work eight at the same rates whioh is equivalent to a rim in wages of 11 i per cent. On 22ud Maj, the irades and Labour Council received communication from the meqyW strike at Mildura, asking thenfto stop all trees and plants for Ohaffey Bros, being landed at Sydney from the San franoisoo mai( steamer, and also to block the landing of goods for the firm at river ports.
