The Rotor'ua chiefs have filed a petition in the Supromo Court praying for enquiry into the manner in which tho Rotorua 1 ands are leased.
Adoption ot Extreme Measures
Wellington, Thursday. The Wellington branch of the Railway Employe's Society has unanimously decided in favor of oxteme measures being adopted,' if heceseary, One result of the Conference on the Petone Woollen dispute is that forty ex-operatives resume work on Tuesday, 28th. Of those now in the mill, principally married women, whose husbands are working in- the mill or district, will bo discharged but are to be reinstated if trade improves.
